GOODBYE UET!

So, the moment has come, that inevitable moment, which we always pushed behind our minds because we thought, we had time. Laughing around with our friends, all those lectures that we bunked. Failing quizzes together, and just being silly about making fun of teachers. Calling each other names. Stressing about those project deadlines. The last moment arrival in lectures for saying “present Sir!” or just mastering the word “present” in 10 different tones for proxies. It was all just a big concoction of feelings. The treasure of indescribable experiences.

Laying on the ground of lalazar, bearing the heatstroke of summers. Rushing to get the ultimate “Panga”. All those birthdays in Stadium while throwing cake and off course “eggs “on each other faces. The Sehar and Aftaar of mess. Those priceless hostel roommates that made this whole burdensome and painful journey, a beautiful and contented one! The people who saw us inside out, and with whom we shared our combs and towels.

The fights over marks and the race of GPA, Having that one “TC master” in class. Missing home. Those events in Audi where we danced all our troubles away. The mesmerizing “Jannat road”. The swimming pool, and the view of university in rain.

All of this was given to us by our university life, which is now going to be over. And it fills us all, with a bittersweet feeling of becoming a certified professional Engineer, but also leaving our student life.

As we stand here saying farewell to this beautiful period, promising each other to stay in touch, deep down we know, that things are not going to be the same! And after 5 years when we will be sitting in our offices, we will just smile about how silly we used to be. How the little arguments with our friends made us worried. How that one news of “Aj lecture cancel hogya!” could make us forget all the bad things in life. When we will be drowned by paper work and meetings of offices, we will remember that there is no option of bunk now.

Nevertheless, one day we will all meet again. Dashing to hug each other. And we will smile and laugh. Forgetting all the targets of business and just enjoying one meal with pure happiness in our hearts. Telling each other how much we missed them and glad to have them here. For a moment things will feel the same as student life. But for now, we have reached the milestone and achieved the title of “Engineer” after raghra of 4 years. Good bye UET! Thank you for the memories :”)
