Is There Any Need For Female Education?

Education is a systematic process to train a person, living rules and manners. In this modern age, education plays an important role cultivating the mind of both men and women. Unfortunately, in Asia literacy rate is alarmingly low, and it is decreasing every coming year. The low rate of female education is the main reason of this overall deficiency in literacy rate. Approximately, 40% girls can’t join the college or universities for higher education and those who join, can’t finish their studies because they get married. Sadly, above 40% don’t even join the school. The feudal lords have a prejudice against educating their girls. There are numberless villages in Pakistan where the arrangements for the primary education of girls simply don’t even exist. Isn’t that sad thing to know! If things will go on same then one day we will be last in the list of underdeveloped countries maybe withdraw from this also. There are many benefits of educating women in all grounds of progress. Self-control is the key of success

Self-control is the ability to control one’s emotions over things that are way too much to bear. It is the capacity of a person to permeate of goodness instead of otherwise. It is the projection of pure discipline and maturity. self-control is a fruit of the spirit it develops as we spent time fellowshipping with God and practicing obedience to him. Sometimes we would be rather that God control us and make us do the right things but he wants us to rule over our spirit. Like a muscle, the more you exercise the self-control on a consistent basis, the stronger you get. As your self-control increases the more you gain the ability to direct your life in a manner that is congruent with the true you. Women Empowerment

Women are the most beautiful creature made by God. Apparently they look sensitive and weak but the truth is that they have power to endure hardships, strength to fight against difficulties and a big heart, which is as deep as the sea, where they hide cruelness of the world and mishaps of the fate but never complain about anything. This truth has been neglected by the world for so long time. Women are considered as less important part of the society. Their rights have been violated in all the eras. In early times people used to kill their daughters as they born, persecute and humiliate their wives and no proper status was given to women. The situation is still not in hands. Today also, women are suffering a lot. They have been made victim of sexual harassment, domestic violence, marriage and financial transaction, persecution, humiliation, gender inequality as well as gender equality is curse for them. These problems act as hurdles in every woman's life, stop her to move forwa...

Good Governance and Public Servants

Good governance is something that has remains victim of poverty, unemployment, terrorism, contemptuous and derogatory activities since millenniums. Though we pass through the conrotatory and literal definition of good governance it may be defined as: "Good governance is a process of making decisions and implementing decisions made, properly and effectively." it can be evaluated that god governance revolve around a process of decision making. It is all about making right decision at the right time and practically applying them and it is the duty of public servants , playing indispensable role in managing things, to apply all the decisions and prevent them to remain on just a piece of paper. The good governance is as important to the life of country as the blood for human. As it is said. “As you sow so shall you reap” if you govern your public and country veracity today, you will have fruitful results tomorrow. Poverty is one of the major issues throughout the world an...

The Power in Words

Whenever I see words of great men etched onto a wall, a tombstone or a memorial in the form of quotes. And when I watch people extract meaning out of them, it makes my skin crawl. I can’t help but wonder that what made these men utter such words of wisdom, was it only the ability to be able to dictate their experiences in a sophisticated form which attracted people who understood the depth of those words? Because a writer only writes what he knows and a speaker only speaks what he knows. These are just like vignettes organized to be presentable and for the masses to appreciate. This leads me to think whether my words carry the weight of people’s emotions up to such an extent that I would also be quoted one day. Words are the connecting medium between all of us. They connect the living to the dead , the existent to the extinct, the real to the mythological, humans to God and vice versa. Even God Almighty communicates with man through his undeniable words, which are present in the ...

Everyone is afraid of sudden disasters to happen in their life. People are afraid of adversities. But this world doesn't give everything in gold plate. A world famous poet-dramatist, William Shakespeare  gave a different & unique ideology about adversities. He drew a portrait of hardships as blessing for ones. Those who take these as a booster, never gets fail in life. Shakespeare is giving a different idea in this quote and a golden key to success. He showed that the uses of adversity are sweet even more sweet as a jewel of success . He is comparing adversity with toad and sweet uses with jewel. Employment Discrimination: Over Qualification Issue

There can be numerous causes of rejection but when you are rejected because they said you are overqualified you get some weird thoughts as if it’s your fault that you studied more or this is fault of the society because most of them says you have less experience or less qualification which definitely seems logical but what is the logic of being over qualified. “They said you have Seventeen years education yet we are looking for people having less educated people so we can’t hire you” A friend from banking sector told after being rejected from the top bank of the country. Although private sector employers have sound reasons to reject over qualified candidates but for government organizations it seems a little absurd. The issue of being over qualified job seekers has been often day by day which has lead even more number of unemployed people sitting at home waiting for the right opportunity to come but as said second chance is not very often. Due to the growing technology lesser need...

Five Reasons Why UET’s Merit Has Been Falling For Past Few Years

Today, the institute which is known as UET Lahore has been serving the nation for the past ninety six years. It is one of the top institutes of Pakistan. Many students have a dream to get admission here. About 46,000 candidates appear in entrance test conducted by UET each year but only 2,200 of them are admitted by UET. According to QS world university rankings, UET is losing its rank year by year. In 2012 it was on 601+ and now in 2018 it is going to be on 801+. The merit is also falling for the past few years. These are some of the possible reasons behind this: 1. Education System: Educational system in Pakistan is being more than education. It is considered as a business for a number of people. In Lahore, students and their parents prefers an academy for quality study rather than a school or college. Nearly all the academies a student is just a source of their income and nothing more than this. And really they are not raising a student to compete and serve for the nation ...

Curiosity, Friend or Foe!

“Be less curious about people and more curious about ideas  -Madame Curie To this day, all human accomplishments have been the resultant of merely one entity, “Curiosity”. What’s on the other side of the sea? How does the Earth look from high above? What exists on the dark side of the moon? Before such questions are answered, there exists only a suspicion, a superstition or logic based hypothesis that makes up for our limited imagination, undermining room for further possibilities. But the doubts are only cleared when one gets his facts straight by observing with his own eyes as they say, “Seeing is believing”. The problem however lies with the mindset of the masses. As the above mentioned quote clearly states, even in the modern society, people purposefully misinterpret this marvelous state of mind to meddle with the personal matters of others. Like holding curiosity as a shield, considering everyone’s life a mystery and marching in to solve them like Sherlock while bla...

GOODBYE UET!

So, the moment has come, that inevitable moment, which we always pushed behind our minds because we thought, we had time. Laughing around with our friends, all those lectures that we bunked. Failing quizzes together, and just being silly about making fun of teachers. Calling each other names. Stressing about those project deadlines. The last moment arrival in lectures for saying “present Sir!” or just mastering the word “present” in 10 different tones for proxies. It was all just a big concoction of feelings. The treasure of indescribable experiences. Laying on the ground of lalazar, bearing the heatstroke of summers. Rushing to get the ultimate “Panga”. All those birthdays in Stadium while throwing cake and off course “eggs “on each other faces. The Sehar and Aftaar of mess. Those priceless hostel roommates that made this whole burdensome and painful journey, a beautiful and contented one! The people who saw us inside out, and with whom we shared our combs and towels. The figh...
