4 Ways to Keep the Child Inside Alive!

As we grow in age and career we develop a perception that maturity and professionalism means to stop being mischievous and naughty, to stop laughing and even stop committing mistakes. While it is crucial to work hard day in and day out, it is equally important to enjoy life to the fullest. So let’s explore some ways to “Keep the Child inside.

1. Stop worrying about others' judgment

No matter what you do and how hard you strive to make people happy, the world will always find reasons to criticize. Measures of happiness are always subjective and what makes one person smile to you can make the other stare with hatred. So forget about the way people judge you. Be positive, believe in yourself and be satisfied about the things you do.
Kids are rarely embarrassed even when they are crying at full volume in malls. They start skipping on the road or jumping or dancing in front of everyone, without really worrying about who is noticing them and who isn't. So let’s be kids by heart.

2. Understand that it's OK to make mistakes and fail

We as humans need to realize that we are bound to err. We make mistakes yet we laugh and celebrate and hug. So it is OK if you give your best shot and yet fail to achieve. Commit mistakes, learn and grow! Those who take failures to their heart keep going into a deep pit of depression which is ever so difficult to climb out of. So take it easy guys! Chill out and better luck next time.

3. Smile and crack jokes

I personally hate workplaces where people are too concerned about being serious, sober and quiet in their endeavor to be a sound professional. We should learn to pass smiles. Go to our co-worker’s desks and have a non-work chat too. Ask them about their families, life, interest and hobbies.  Ask them how their weekend was to make the Monday mornings colorful. Crack jokes and share laughter. And let me clarify that by no means this relates to compromising the professional responsibilities, for smiling faces and happy hearts are more likely to achieve targets.

4. Enjoy Nature

We were all born a free mind and soul. Things complicated as we grew up. So let’s go back to the basics and enjoy the blessings of the Mother Nature. Let’s get drenched in the rain or make paper boats. Let’s walk bare foot on fresh grass and open our arms to feel the cold breeze across our body. Let’s sip a cup of hot coffee in chilly mornings while enjoying a view of the foggy pastures. The reluctance to put away affiliation with nature may be a requirement of genius!
