A RHYTHM

This story is about a person whom I saw following his passion before my own eyes. Life is hard for everyone, the one who is reading this might also be going through a rough time, but just spare 5 minutes from your busy life and read this, because sometimes little things leaves a big impact on us!
It all started deep down in his heart. He didn’t see anyone playing flute and didn't have any apparent motivation. Just like a child who develops interest in the first cartoon he watches, he fell in love with the melody of flute when he heard it for the first time. The reason for it was something that he realized as he got older, Flute and him were similar to each other. Hollow from inside, no pomp and show on the outside. The tunes he played made him peaceful It was a beautiful rhythm that took refuge in his heart.
A flute is a very uncommon instrument and not all have what it takes to learn it. An empty bamboo with holes in it, which requires a lot of effort to be danced upon with one's fingers over it. But he was strong enough to blow his soul into that wooden hollow cylinder to make it alive, he was powerful enough to express his sorrow and joy in the melodies he played..
There's a famous saying
"Music speaks when words fail"
His melodies were imprinted onto my heart the same way, whenever he played. The emotions he was unable to share through his words were displayed with his beats. The struggle of keeping a steady breath and maintaining a proper stance was clear from his body language.
He didn't have any musical background, which made it even harder for him to continue. Because Pakistani middle-class society is not very keen about letting youth go towards music. Another reason for him progressing was support of his teacher. A teacher plays an important role in shaping his student's life. His teacher's support and appreciation encouraged him to keep moving forward despite of hardships and problems. Whenever he felt like quitting his teacher uplifted him. That's how a teacher should be!
Learning an instrument can affect your personality in an amazing way. When you are unable to express what you feel. Music becomes your words, your language, your pen to write on the canvass of life. Because of music he learned about life, about passion and feelings. He felt peaceful in the world that's moving too fast around him. So, if anyone out there is struggling to get something., DONT STOP, You can do it! Just put aside everything for a moment and go after what you want. It will make you happy! Just like it made him happy, in his abstract and uncertain life...
