Verna
A highly anticipated film from Pakistan’s most darling actress Mahira Khan (well not so darling anymore *clears throat Ranbhir Kapoor’s scandal *clears throat again), well basically it is a social-dramatic film which can also be counted in thriller category .It is being directed and produced by none other than the man who gave us superb movies like Khuda k Liye & Bol yes I am talking about Shoaib Mansoor (woo hoo!!) it is written by Shoaib Mansoor’s team. The film is all set to get released on 17th of November under the banner of Hum Films. Trailer has already been released and I must say it appears to be a promising movie. The logo has hidden messages in it and according to Brand scenario they were:- Aabroo
- Zehr-e-Husn
- Ismat
- Takabbur
- Izzat
- Umeed
- A woman’s silhouette on the R
Along with not so famous actors (not that it’s a bad thing) like Haroon Shahid. Look how handsome he looks
But unfortunately for us ladies he’s been already taken in fact he is a proud father of two cute kids. In case you were living under a rock and didn’t knew who he is (just like me!) so let me tell you he is an amazing singer (he sung Baliye along with Qurat-Ul-Ain Balouch) ring any bells huh!
And introducing beautiful Naimal Khawar
Now let’s talk about trailer shall we? The trailer starts with a blossoming relationship between Mahira and Haroon.
Then Mahira is seen to be escorted by Zarrar Khan on a boat who is shown with a wealthy background (kiun k jald hi mere baba iss mulk k prime minister ban’ne wale hain) and then suddenly everything starting to go wrong with one side Haroon having shak on Mahira and on another side Mahira starts to become a badass saying things like "Mjhe to aadmiun ne kharab kiya hai"
while their relationship is going down the hill other political aspects are also introduced such as "Apne pas majority na ho to baro baro ko baap banana parta hai" and "system aesa hai sir ghalat log bhi elect ho jaate hain". This trailer is full of very emotional and powerful scenes where in the end we are left with questions like who is guilty, who is innocent and where does the power play itself (apparently everywhere). "Wo tumhain deserve nahi karti thi" and "Allah per chorr do wo ma’af karne walon ko pasand karta hai" and most importantly why is Mahira being framed for anything and is she guilty or what (mind you she is definitely shown using physical power)
This movie is definitely full of powerful messages and will have a long lasting impact on your lives (that is if you opt to watch it of course).
Two of its track’s teaser Sambhal Sambhal kay and Power di game has already been released. In the end all I want to say is that YOU PEOPLE SHOULD DEFINITELY WATCH THIS PIECE OF ART (everything sounds so important when it’s in cap doesn’t it!) or you’ll be seeing this sarcastic face of Mahira.
Rangreza
This movie is of musical-romance category, directed by Amir Mohiuddin produced by Yasir Mohiuddin and Usman Malkani. It is set to release 21st December under the banner of Vision Art films. The main trio includes Urwa Farhan( or Urwa Hocane ironically pronounced as Hussain), Bilal Ashraf and Gohar Rasheed. Now Urwa is famous because of many things such as her sister Mawra Hocane or her hubby Farhan Caeed (Oops it’s not a joke anymore hmm) just kidding…. she has done a lot of dramas showing her acting capabilities most important of ‘em all is Udaari (and…… I can’t think of another one).
Bilal Ashraf can be considered as freshie but he has already proven himself as an amazing film star with great movies under his name as Janaan and Yalgaar. This man is too hot to be real, and don’t get me wrong or anything but he far away from being a good actor tbh I mean he seriously needs to work on his dialogue delivery and acting skills I know many of you will be against this statement but still...
Last but not the least this movie also features brilliant actor Gohar Rasheed who has done many roles which includes positive, negative and comic.
Just to clear everything if there would be a Bilal Ashraf vs. Gohar Rasheed I would support both of them equally (*thinking ‘But Bilal is more handsome no but wait Gohar Rashheed is way more talented…..’ *and this goes on).
This movie also cast other big stars like Tanveer Jamal, Saba Faisal, Akbar Subhani, Saleem Mairaj, Shahid Naqvi, Hina Altaf and many more.
Now the trailer features three of our main protagonist in different scenarios while Bilal Ashraf is seemed to be under the spell of love.
Urwa Farhan appears to be a damsel in stress...
And Gohar Rasheed getting psyched up (for something …..)
With Abida Parveen’s majestic voice in the background! <3
Well not much can be decipher from the trailer because it was just a teaser but we can conclude that this film will be a feast for our eyes. Four of its track has already been released Phool Khil jayen, Rangreza, Bulleya and Bagiya.
So book your tickets and grab your popcorns for this ultimate romantic movie. ;-)
Arth 2
Sorry couldn't display the original poster because it had Humayun Saeed in it and while I know he’s an incredibly talented actor he is NOT in the film so I have no idea why am I facing these posters ???????I mean not everything should be revolving around Humayun Saeed only (or on second thought may it should hmm *deep thoughts), anyways this movie stars veteran actor Shaan Shahid (who also happens to be director and writer of film) (*whistles) this man is a legend himself he has given a lot to Lollywood but had never received the amount of applaud that he truly deserves.
With amazingly talented actress Uzma Hassan who has marked TV industry with both her serious and comic roles.
Next we have critically acclaimed talented actress Humaima Malik who has worked both on small and big screen. She had even worked in our neighbor country with a great, superb and outstanding film (*sigh with rolling eyes) Raja NatwarLal along with none other than Bollywood’s most izzatdar (is that even a word) actor Imran Hashmi (better not include his image too because of some reasons *awkwardly walks away) but she did done a great job in Bol so yeah cheers to that!
And lastly for the main antagonist we have Mohib Mirza no he is not Humayun Saeed and he will never be Humayun Saeed but he is a good actor too in fact an excellent one and quite equal to Humayun Saeed (pls don’t kill me pls don’t kill me!).Actually Humayun was first cast as lead but due to some reasons he couldn't do so) and Mohib Mirza was reprised. So this dude has also portrayed many roles and shown many layers of his acting skills he has also done some movies (if you only remember Bachaana but noooo JPNA was way more hilarious wasn't it!) and he has an incredibly talented wife as well Aminah Sheikh so yes that couple is goals !!.
This movie is expected to release on 21st of December in 2017 under joint production AAA Motion Picture and Shaan Shahid’s 5th element.
This movie is romantic-drama film which a remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s 1982 film Arth (which I haven’t seen yet also not a big fan of Mahesh Bhatt so biiiig concerns!). So recently trailer for this movie has been launched and it does look promising.
So the trailer gave a little bit intros about our main protagonists Ali (Shaan Shahid) appears to be a struggling singer (Zindagi hamain ek aur martaba mouqa deti hai k ham apne khawabon ko pura kar sakain) who comes back to Pakistan for a Great Comeback.
While Uzma (Uzma Hassan) is portrayed to be a writer (now turned into a simple housewife of Mohib Mirza) captioning an amazing line "Yehi mushkil lamhe zindagi ban jaate hain" who is in conflict with her personal and professional life.
Then her husband Umar (Mohib Mirza) is shown to be a filmmaker(apparently new in industry) who is really excited about a superstar joining his film.
And that SUPERSTAR is our beloved Humaima (Humaima Malik) who appears to be a self centered, arrogant, proud, rude celebrity (*coughs jo k Pakistan mai taqreeban har actor apne aap ko samajhta hai *dies of constant coughing) because it’s okay when I say it’s okay .
As Ali is on the verge of giving up, Uzma sets a social account for him because she is his FAN (and nothing more …. *awkward silence).
Now this is where this trailer takes a really long turn I mean a lot of things start to happen at a time on one side Ali is continuing his musical career, while Umar is convincing Uzma that all of our dreams will soon come true, aur phir har dusri jagha begharatpana start ho jaata hai (Matlab sach mai yaar bas kardo!).
I know I’m showing this begharatpana too but ……
But this is the best part Umar is falling again and someone is convincing Uzma that Ali really likes her (So basically everybody is falling for one another). Also everybody is leaving one another koi kisi ko chorr raha hai to koi kisi ko chorrne k liye mana raha hai (aur koi lambi lambi chorr raha hai ).
And just then Humaima comes with a bang saying things like I have always picked the wrong guy this quote here is actually true considering her choice in husband and co-star ( acha sorry thora zada personal ho gaya).
Also Uzma is advised to use her dukh and dard in her writings (jaise k hamare dramas mai aksar hota hai).
Towards the End everyone appears to be broken and shattered with brilliant quote on display DECISIONS DETERMINE DESTINY.
Trailer also includes it’s background score which gives a fresh appeal to the movie. All I can say is that this movie is a MUST so y’all should definitely watch this.
For my conclusion I conclude that as Lollywood is going through its revival we should all support our films and must do criticism (but only positive). So add these movies in your must watch list and get ready for some entertainment!
