Youth Turning Away From Islam

Societies in all human cultures give a great deal of attention and importance to their young. Enormous sums of money and resources are spent and allocated by State Institutions for the training, education and preparation of the youth in order to absorb and channel their great energies.
''Train your children with a training different from your training, because they have been created for a period different from yours'' (Sayyidna-Ali)
Muslim Youth are under the hammer of two extremes; forced to live in virtually two different worlds. In homes which are culturally Muslim, and in an environment outside the home, which tends to be challenging in many ways as well as Islamophobic in some circumstances. Whatever they hear in many Mosques may seem meaningless to them in their daily lives, while in the real world they are exposed to the pressures of multiculturalism, assimilation and peer-pressures.
Islam teaches us of righteousness and it is accepted by the people but no one wants to act upon these teachings. Everyone including our parents, teachers and mates are living in a very materialistic world. Everybody is restless without Islam. Most of our youngsters says that they do not know the reason but they are not having peace in their souls, minds and lives and do not know how to overcome it. In contrast to it, a person who is young and paying all his religious duties have peace in his life.
Allah says:
''Those who believe and work righteousness, joy is for them and a blissful place of (final) return''
The actual issue with our youth to be misguided is its society. Society has made most of today's parents numb that they do not consider bad. This situation is, somehow due to the behavior of the society, that only a person who wears branded clothes, eats good, lives good gets a good response by the people. It has been seen that those parents who want to correct their children are finding it out of their control now. Due to non-Islamic culture in which we are now adapted completely that we do not realize our bad deeds. Their habits are getting permanent and youngsters do not know that there is a great punishment on the doomsday for this.

Reasons: Why The Youth Is At Distance From Religion

1) Grassroots Negligence:
The First most important reason why Muslim Youth relinquish religion, is because the roots of their faith were not properly and deeply planted into their hearts, when the time was right to sow them.
2)Too Much Emphasis on Worldly Education:
After the age of 10, most children from educated families are permanently shackled into an orbit that revolves incessantly around school. Yet, most parents' top priority for their child is getting high grades in school. During youth, imparting authentic Islamic knowledge and a deep understanding of the Quran to a Muslim child should not be an afterthought, or a weekend activity.
3)Admiration of Worldly Progress:
It is sad but true that practicing Muslims are no longer the majority front runners in the high achieving, educated and progressive world. For the young Muslim, the question pops up:
''If Islam was the only true religion, why do Muslims not have success, progress, honor and peace in this world?''
Since they desire material success and wealth, they equate leaving the Islamic religion (or its outward practice) with having more chances of achieving worldly success.
4)Involvement of Media:
Media is working so cruelly that it is becoming impossible to make the new generation and youth coming near to Islam. The use of FACEBOOK and YouTube plays a role in the destructiveness of the youth. There is a bundle of posts on Facebook against Islam. And Youth, witnessing them are getting a bad impression on them about Islam. Many of the youngsters are using YouTube with the proxy service for the fun only as it is banned by the government.

Conclusion:

If the reason for our youth moving away from Islam could be summarized in a nutshell, it would be: love of the world over the Hereafter due to weakness of faith. The reason our youth are leaving religion is because we brought them up to give more importance to this world than the Hereafter.
Being a Muslim, we are assumed to have some religious obligations for the betterment of this society, if we realize, only them. We should develop a sense of responsibility ourselves to struggle hard to make our Youth aware of the fact that their only life style is Islam. The youth should work with an objective of making Islam prevalent over all the other ways of life. The youth is "MAKE IT'' or '' BREAK IT'' stage of our life.
The Prophet (P.B.U.H.) said:
''There will come a time when holding on to your religion will be like holding burning coal''
