Friends Are Chosen Family



“Can you imagine how best friends can fall in love with each other? Silently sharing their emotions and lifelines. They love it when you catch them looking at you in gatherings. You are their better half in this one universe having 9 planets, 809 islands, 7 seas having a privilege of meeting them because  every day they tell you that you are amazing the way you are.”

The human condition is full of terror. We are always on the verge of disgrace, confusion, danger, disappointments and what not? In such situation we badly need friends because they give us access to an insight with which we can begin to judge our sad and broken side more compassionately.

There is no formal way to define a friend. Criteria for the friendship varies from person to person. In my opinion, the broadness of the term “friendship” is far beyond befriending only humans. One can find a friend in lifeless things, feelings and fellow creatures too. Here is the little try to explain what really a friend is.

A true friend is the one who is your friend for your sake, not to get any kind of benefit from you, the one who never gives up on you when you start making mistakes, remains in touch even if you establish a distance with them, continuously feels pain for you, who supports you at every moment for the good. To conclude, being truthful, genuine and real is what friendship demands.

There exist different phases of life. In school days you are a friend with someone for no reason. What that means you are not friend with them because it makes you more popular in the school, or they are really smart at the school, or to use their help for homework_not for any of those reasons. In university, you are not friend with someone for an agenda, or because others will think more highly of you, or you want a sort of jack to get a job after graduation. You are friend with them for who they really are, not the things they owe, not the status they have. When your friendship have no strings attached its true and genuine despite of all those things.

It’s just a piece of cake to make friends for like to play a routine game with, or to go hang out in the mall, or to watch movie with but one of the hardest things to have in your life is a true friend. And one thing more, it’s not about just a friend you should be looking for but that’s a kind of friend you by yourself have to be too. If you keep expecting all the good stuff from your friend despite of being a good friend, it will hurt the vision of friendship.

You are dead when you are heartbroken but if your best friends broke your heart, you are going to blow the hell out of them. It’s simply amazing how one day someone walks into your life, the next day you wonder how you lived these years without them.”
