Trump Says Iran War Is ‘Very Complete’ After Hour-Long Call With Putin, Claims Iran Had ‘Nothing Left’ Militarily After 10 Days of War.

U.S. President Donald Trump said the conflict with Iran was “very complete” following a one-hour phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to reports including The Telegraph. Trump claimed the military campaign had progressed much faster than expected and suggested that Iran’s armed forces had been largely neutralized after roughly ten days of fighting. He said U.S. and allied operations had severely damaged Iran’s navy, air force, and communication systems, leaving the country with “nothing left militarily,” while also stating that the campaign was ahead of the four-to-five-week timeline his administration had originally considered.

According to reports about the call, Trump and Putin discussed the broader Middle East crisis and possible ways to stabilize the situation. The Kremlin described the conversation as frank and focused on diplomatic options, while Putin reportedly encouraged efforts toward a political solution and de-escalation. The leaders also discussed regional security concerns, including the impact of the war on energy markets and global stability.

In separate remarks to NBC News, Trump reiterated that the war had effectively reached its objective. He said the U.S. and its allies had “completely destroyed Iran’s military capability” in key areas and argued that Tehran no longer had the ability to continue major operations. Trump also suggested that the campaign had reopened shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil transit points, though he said Washington would continue monitoring the situation closely.

The war began in late February with joint U.S. and Israeli strikes targeting Iranian military infrastructure, triggering retaliatory missile and drone attacks by Iran across the region. The conflict has had major geopolitical and economic consequences, including rising oil prices and growing global concern about a wider regional escalation.
