GOODBYE UET!

So, the moment has come, that inevitable moment, which we always pushed behind our minds because we thought, we had time. Laughing around with our friends, all those lectures that we bunked. Failing quizzes together, and just being silly about making fun of teachers. Calling each other names. Stressing about those project deadlines. The last moment arrival in lectures for saying “present Sir!” or just mastering the word “present” in 10 different tones for proxies. It was all just a big concoction of feelings. The treasure of indescribable experiences. Laying on the ground of lalazar, bearing the heatstroke of summers. Rushing to get the ultimate “Panga”. All those birthdays in Stadium while throwing cake and off course “eggs “on each other faces. The Sehar and Aftaar of mess. Those priceless hostel roommates that made this whole burdensome and painful journey, a beautiful and contented one! The people who saw us inside out, and with whom we shared our combs and towels. The figh...

A HOAX ALLY

What is loneliness? Is it the 2am when you are awake at night and have no one to talk to? Is it the day time when you are having your lunch alone at the side of a road? The answer might be both. Or perhaps there’s a way to look at it in a completely different way. Maybe loneliness is when you reach your class room in the morning and you see that there’s no seat for you. Maybe it’s people waving hello to you but not listening if you call their names for help. Maybe it’s when they leave you out of everything and pretend they didn’t. Or maybe it’s when they all laugh at you for encountering a failure. Maybe it’s when your boss toss a bunch of papers on your face if he didn’t like them and no one cared to ask you what’s wrong? My point is, real loneliness is when you are surrounded by people you call your friends, and they play the greatest role in making you realize that you are alone. I want you to do something, close your eyes for a minute, and name a person who has been there ...
